The Shanghaiexpat Topics in Details forums are open. Hopefully you will find the info you are looking for easily. These forums are little more structured. The following are the guidelines for posting in these forums.
1. Please stay on topic. Ask good questions relevant to the forum topic and post good information relevant to the topic discussion. If your post is off topic, it will be moved or deleted.
2. This is a place to discuss. If you have personal issues with other members, take it to the open chat forum.
3. When in doubt.. post in Questions and Answers.
