| Post subject: World Cup Qualifier China v Australia |
On tomorrow at 2 PM. Just went through the Boo and they say they may not be able to show it, as their Shanghai Sports connection is dodgy.
Whats the plan?
Anyone have one.
I know I am probably talking to 3 people here but I'd like to watch it in the company of at least one other Australian.
再见. |

Indeed it is.
The world's most populous nation Vs the world's most successful sporting nation (per capita).
As Walrus said, feel free to tag along and heckle in person. |

Hehe yeah. Especially seeing Chinese commentators already have a bit of a past with regards to giving Australia the short end of the stick, I'm sure most Aussies remember this one..

Steve Waugh - sporting hero. Check.
Warwick Capper - pathetic soft-cock show pony - WTF??? SOME men have played Rules over the years, haven't they? Paul Kelly (no, the other one) for one
WHY pick that total embarrassment to all other Australian males Capper?
Why?
Now THIS is a footballer, FFS:
(by the way, the bloke getting belted threw the first punch). |

OK, I bit. Hook, line & sinker again.
Now, use some of that surprising late-night energy to find out where the Walrus and I can watch the variety of ball played by the persons of the ethnic persuasion, why don't you?
P.S. You can come along too (just so long as you don't wear your W Capper signature shorts). |

Isn't it a bit too chilly for a Warwick Capper "do"? |

The alternative is CCTV5 (or at least what they now call it on the eve of "Berlin '36 - The Sequel" - I believe "The Olympics Channel").
I read on some soccer forum found via Google that the game would be screened on CCTV5/Thewobujidaochannel on delay at 6pm-ish, but I'd like some confirmation from somewhere before relying on it.
Surely some local bars would be showing it at either time. Anyone with good character-reading skills want to do a quick Google for us?
There's beers in it for you if you can find it on somewhere for us to watch.
Maybe we should also pester the consulate - they love inquiries about this sort of life or death thing... |
