I remember when I first came to China, it seemed that I CONSTANTLY needed "stuff" that was impossible to get in China. Now two things have changed... I've learned that most of my "necessities" really aren't so necessary. And 2nd, Shanghai (much more so than Beijing) is much better at supplying those hard-to-find items.
I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what I could ask for. In the end? *shrug* Unless you can figure out a way to package an HD broadcast feed (so I can finally watch TV in HD), or a high-speed, truly open internet connection without filtering.... there's not too much I really want or need.
Thanks for the offer though
As for this past brunch... good times, again! This time I didn't feel as pressured to pack as many words as possible into as small a space as possible, which made it easier to get along. And the brownies were a fantastic surprise!
Unfortunately, it looks like I'll miss the next one. I've been summoned away once again, so my Saturday looks like it will be spent in airports, yet again. |

Yeah, I hear you. Looks like I'll have much lighter luggage to carry due to the "overwhelming" requests, lol. |

I guess the thing is that its not as hard as it used to be to get things in Shanghai. I mean you can even buy Vegemite in the local supermarket here. So there's not much that people would ask for which aren't bulky or expensive anyways. Thanks for the the offer though.
Hopefully will meet you when you get here. |

Quik with ANY milk is good enough, but best with fresh MengNiu premium milk. It is QUITE good! |

Ed, I really enjoyed the meet and it's was the kind of setting I expected and felt very comfortable with. Meeting you and your lovely family was my pleasure. sorry I didn't have chance to get to know all the memebers that were there, but few that I had talked to were all extremely pleasnat. Not sure if I'll make it to the next one, but you certianly haven't seen the last of me. |
