Post subject: Using a Blackberry in Shanghai

I'm going to be arriving in China next week with a Blackberry PDA, currently operating on AT&T Wireless. The roaming service via AT&T will be incredibly expensive once I get there, so I plan to switch to a local provider as soon as possible. What should I do?

If I recall correctly, A Blackberry uses MMS protocol for messaging. MMS is available for mobile phones here, but I don't know if it'll work with your Blackberry or not. When you get here, find a very fluent bilingual friend to go with you to the mobile phone providers- China Mobile and China Unicom- to see if those companies can fix you up.

Hi,

I have a user who spends half the year in China and half in the USA.
They would like a Blackberry and want to have a SIM card for each country. I see China Mobile is the carrier to be used.
How do I get in contact with them??
