top massage is above the waist (shoulders, back, neck, arms, head)
HK massage is a style of massage (Hong Kong). Not sure what they do different in HK.
There is also normally what they call Chinese style which is a good solid back rub.
There is Thai shi which they tend to work you over in more acrobatic postures. |

I don't think you need to go to Hong Kong to get a massage if you are in Shanghai. There are plenty of Top notch places in Shanghai to get massage. |

Thai style (泰式) refers to the limb stretching, twisting and pulling type of massage.
It's normally done on a mattress on the floor.
Walking the back is ususally called cai bei (踩背).
They can apply much more pressure this way than just with the hands.
Great when your back is really sore.
If they don't have the ceiling bars, using the knees is a good alternative. |
