Pleasures - sounds interesting.
Most Lovely Pandas - I disagree. ours are better, and more pocket sized. Plus eating them sooths the throat and clears the nose.
Biggest Goldfields - hmmm. i don't want to play "mines bigger than yours" but wouldn't Australia or Sth Africa hold that title? Can't confirm it, because doing a good search actually brings this thread up!
Caligraphy & Paintings - well, Caligraphy is just hand writing. Who gives a stuff. And i would suggest that some Italians and Spanish fellas can paint some pretty mean pics.
Most Beautiful landscapes - yeah, pretty hard to argue that one.

the thing & the method of how I run my privacy or all my issues is very successful, at least, all of my intelligence on dealing with the issues of here some cat it is very successful & forceful in here and this no one can really exceed it or jump it over from all my barrior in their further days or months, hahah~~~~~~~and I really use it by my own strategy in reality, 3 years hardship on exceed my obstacle,yeah,over~~~~~ |

I know that some people have very bad image of Chinese people,
here are some of the reasons: (obs! im speaking in general, i'm aware of exeptions.)
1, the majority of the Chinese exchange students in Sweden copy their thesis from the internet (I know this is true, as a friend confirmed this), and in groupworks they also go to the internet and copy stuff, they are lazy!
2, when Chinese people go overseas they act like they're poorer than poor which give Chinese people a bad image, like those 2 chinese students who lived in my hall bought the cheapest low quality meat you could get and used things that was really disgusting for the others to see, and they never cleaned up after themselves (again, they are lazy)
3, when Chinese people are overseas they hardly ever speak to western people, I understand that they are shy, but at least they should try. Their english is also very bad so you can hardly hear what they are saying.
4, The Chinese people's clothing styles is terrible, esp. in a fashionable city as Stockholm you're being looked down at if you don't follow the norm. Sad, but true.
5, and the most important, the Chinese society is still pretty fcuked up. No human rights, corruption, a dictating government, all this just smell so ooooooold!!!
A lot of people will now criticize me, but let's be honest and realistic, both you and I know, that those are the main reasons to WHY a lot of western people look down at Chinese people. and sometimes I ask myself, why shouldn't they? |
Someone is a Chinese, but someone thinks all Chinese are ugly and dirty, cause they like throwing away or put out the food or anything they want in streets or nay kind of public places, So Sienna, tell us who got HIV or AIDS firstly in world? Chinese or westerner???????????? please speak it loudly to us, then we can know your judgement fairly and seriously from a Swedish girl???????? By the way, Sienna, do you have blond hair & blue eyes in there??? I always wonder why doesn't a Swedish girl really date with a brazalian man when this girl she really loves him in life???? |

yes very proud to be chinese.
very fortunate to be born in a communist/developing country ,so would be able to understand it all.
but sometimes wish i could be some sort of indigenous group, some nomad like Bedouin or Mongolian, it would have been cooler.
in general communist/developing country people are looked down upon in 1st world countries due to ignorance/lack of understanding. |

From the perspective of an ABC...
I would say Im proud to both be American (nationality) and Chinese (ethnicity)
Depending on how you look at it, history, current times, government, nothing is perfect or ideal. However you are what you are, and one should be proud of that...unless your some psycho murderer, molester, etc - in that case the actions/events of a select few should not taint the view of an entire group of people (nationality, ethnicity, etc.) |

Bein Taiwanese myself I love being an overseas Chinese Compatriot when I come to China.

Yes and No...........
I am born Chinese, so I love who I am. But with the chinese culture......as far as I am concerned, it is very backward "落后"and not civilized.
a few examples here:
--I was at a pharmacist. For some reason, a lady working there talks about westerners TAKING SHOWERS after giving birth "做月子" . So to explain, the women used to NOT taking shower for a month after giving birth, but the custom seems to persist.....
--eating everying includes birds net, tortoise, and whatnot....
--greetings "你吃过饭了吗" as if everyone is starving all the time.... |
