Sure.
Scenario 1 presents the choice between suffering and death - upon superficial evaluation of the choice, instinct tells me that suffering is the lesser of the two (i.e. survival over death), but it would be a hard call in reality. I'm not sure really, being forced to decide [gun to my head type of thing], I think I would probably go with the oral option - almost certain death is a scarier option than the previous.
But I don't know it's still a lose-lose any way you cut it and thus was the exercise of the question. |
