that's just an example. I'd also like to browse through a forum with information catered to people from Taiwan.

that being said, I have not found any bubble tea in Shanghai remotely close to the quality of Taiwan. Or Vancouver!

I guess most Taiwanese have their own ways of getting around that don't require forums.

I love the helpful responses. . .

I don't know of such a forum by the way. I guess it would be hard not to get blocked in China given that the joint is run by a bunch of miserable arseholes, supported by braying hordes of nationalistic xenophobes.

The discussions would all get harmonized, and you'd be reading threads like "where can I find Chinese Taipei style oh-ah mee-sua in Shanghai?"

I don't think Taiwanese can use "expat" in mainland China.

oh don't get me wrong.
I don't mean expat as in people from foreign countries, just people with experiences and backgrounds not from mainland China.

actually I don't care and I do believe ROC/PRC is NOT the same country.

taipat? please don't use this word, it is actually offensive as it means “stupid taiwainese” (台巴子).

Any luck searching in Chinese (e.g. using 異國他鄉, or something like that)?
