| Post subject: Now Hotmail? WTF? |
I realize that any type of communication can be subversive but this is ridiculous. Why don't they just ban the entire internet? and telephones?
Cannot access hotmail from home lately. Occasionally I can access using a proxy and, oddly enough, sometimes I type in the URL and it comes right up. What's going on here? Any ideas on getting around this without changing my email address?
I remember someone telling me how to get around the Great F'ing Whatever by fooling MSN into thinking you are accessing from a mobile device. Anyone know this technique?
OK - I'm really steamed at the moment; I"ve vented: I'm over it. |

i have had no issues connecting from office or home recently
a couple things.
1) Change your DNS to use OpenDNS (google to get the IP addresses)
2) check the Technology section for other ideas. |

Things have been hit and miss lately with a slew of applications, programs, etc.
Yet another great mystery that ranks right up there with the rolled up pants thing..... |

What difference does that make? |

The problem is with you. I have no trouble accessing Hotmail. It's not blocked by the authorities. |

I've had problems on and off with hotmail and MSN the whole time I've been in China, especially recently. It's very frustrating.
Of course it depends on the day of the week, the weather, your connecting, location etc as to whether the authorities are blocking/restricting access at any particular time. |
