| Post subject: Moving to SAS Puxi area, are there local area kindergartens? |
We are moving to Shanghai and I hope to be working at the SAS in Puxi. Does anyone know if there are local kindergartens in the area for a 3 year old "foreign" child? Thanks for any insight. |

We lived in that area one year ago. I don't think there are any local kindergartens in that area. |

You may want to look at these international nurseries/kindergartens: Angels Kindergarten, Montessori of Shanghai, Morgan Rothschild Child Care (Kan Hong Garden), and Shanghai Montessori (Hai Tian Garden). |

I also live in the area and my child attends the Montessori School of Shanghai in QingPu. If you want Montessori, this would probably be your best bet. The other ones mentioned above, I've visited but the facilities are not close to what MSS offers. Unless you're willing to consider SAS, BISS, or WISS, they have really nice facilities. |

Thank you for the MSS advise. It is reallz appreciated...We were considering the German French kindergarten but cant seem to quite figure the distance from Westwood green. Is it close? |

Westwood Green is right next to SAS right? If it is, I would think it is about 25 to 30 minutes. MSS is like right in between SRC and the French / German School. I know SRC children travels about 15 minutes on their bus ride to MSS from some of the SRC parents that have their children enrolled at MSS. |

French and German school, Angels, MSS, Hai Tian Kindergarten and Morgan Rothschild are all in the same area and only a few minutes apart, so from your place the distance would be about the same. Not much difference, really.
French and German kindergartens might have a waiting list, you need to check. MSS will not have one because I know SO MANY families who do not re-enroll next year (fed up with the school) and put their kids someplace else. I don't know about the other ones.
