Post subject: Fun activities for a 4 year old boy?

My friend's little nephew is coming to town. Any suggestions on where to find fun activities for a 4 year old boy?

tong ren rd?

On a serious note,

the aquarium in pu dong,
the bug and insect world in pu dong,
the zoo,
science and tech museum,
century park,
toms world in super brand mall,
O'malleys used to have a play park in their garden, not sure about now
they are all good family days out, except possibly the zoo

Aaand if you don't mind the drive:

Quote:
1. Shanghai Wild Animal Park (Shanghai Yesheng Dongwuyuan)
Description: drive-through "safari" wildlife park with ability to purchase live prey to feed animals.
Address: Nan Hui San Zao Zhen, Pudong (near Pudong International Airport).
Opening hours: daily 8am-5pm
Admission: 80rmb (US$10), 40rmb (US$5) for kids under 1.2m (4 ft)
Visitors take buses through the park. Children who may not be able to handle the sight of live chickens being tossed to hungry tigers may prefer the Shanghai Zoo.

2. Shanghai Sculpture Park (She Shan)
Description: wide open spaces with grass to run on, a man-made beach and lots of free kids' activities around Shanghai's "largest man-made lake".
Address: 1158 Linyin New Road, She Shan National Holiday Area, Songjiang District.
Opening hours: daily 9am-6pm
Admission: 98rmb, 70rmb for kids under 1.2m (4 ft) and 70+ senior citizens.
Really a fun place in the summer with the water park and beach, it's also a great spot to just get out of the city and walk, take a picnic and sit on the grass with a blanket.
