hey,
i am looking for a travel book (lonely planet, rough guide etc.) on china in either english (preferred) or german - condition doesn't really matter, but it shouldn't be too old or too expensive

You could try the 7th floor of the Shanghai City of Books on Fuzhou Road.
They have the latest edition. |

nope, haven't seen any 2nd-hand lonely planets....my friends buy them, use them, then fly them home as souvenirs.... |
