Post subject: WFOE registration: lawyer or a consulting firm?

Please share your points of view on whether its better to register a WOFE via a law firm or a consulting firm. What are the pros and cons of each route? I have some ideas but will like to hear from the experienced. TIA.

Unless you are a large corporation that uses the same international lawyers everywhere, I dont see much advantage in working with them. In any case, those lawyers are nothing more than 'consulting firms' when it comes to China... And you certainly don't need to be a lawyer to register a company. There is a wide range of possibilities under this "consulting firm" label however, from firms that provide laywer-like services at high prices to local agents, sometimes affiliated to the local district, that are better at simple cut & paste jobs (but who often get subcontracts from bigger firms...).
