buy new box and card.
the old systems will be off soon enough. its inevitable. so all pirated boxes will stop working soon!!!
China is just a small part of the picture, the main customers for DREAM are the Philippines, so no point complaining about not being able to get this or that, or the picture quality is shi*t etc, -try living in the Middle East where just trying to get several ok channels, means having to have 2-3 satellite subscriptions, and paying a ridiculous amount of money... |

no import duties or taxes are payable as the set-top-boxes are shipped from inside China. the card is paired with the "box" so if they are separated, the card and box cannot be used independent of one another. this means you can't take your card and put into another box, wont work, or can't take another card and put into a different box, it also wont work...
the card and box come together, box is from guangdong, the card from europe, the agent is Taiwan based. |

Um...ok I am the Taiwan office for Philsatcorp and obviously help out in China. Back in China now as I type.
Philatcorp is the Philipinne marketing office for Dream TV. I am the sole rep for Taiwan but act as an advisor to Philsatcorp in all matters outside of China and help run the Uplink facilty and am working on the IPTV systems with other staff. Team effort.
Apart from that what sinned69 has said is true. The cards are marrid to the boxes. So don't separate them.
STB's made under licence in China from Hyundai Korea. The cards yes are provided by the encryption provider Nagravision which is a European company.
I am Taiwan based but I don't own Philsatcorp. Just a humble Corporate Director who sweeps floors and throws out the garbage lol.
Erh oh yeah I also provide online or telephone support for all users of Dream TV and the Crystal boxes.
You can email me jim@philsatcorp.com msn jimedstein@hotmail.com and skype blackcrusader

There was a typhoon last week in the Philippines which affected the uplinking of signals so not per se an issue of the Crystal boxes themselves.
Announcements were made on the www.philsatcorp.com site. |

Glad to help,
can you email me jim@philstsatcrp.com with your pay pal payment details.
Pay Pal themselves should confirm that your payment was processed so let me followup on that. So if you havent got the confirmation code from paypal then it would seem pay pal have not informed us of your payment.
I was in Guanzhou yesterday but in HK now. Heading off to Macau tonight for some business with our cosino clients then back to Guanzhou tomorrow. I will have somebody follow up asap
Regards
Jim |

I just wonder what was the thing that was supposed to happen for all the pirated cards and Bolt or Xsat set top boxes on June the 1st ? Nagra 3 ?
At least I am still receiving like before.
I e-mailed philsatcorp with no feedback whatsoever... |

Yes we are nealy finished getting all the boxes and cards out in the Philippines. The post there is a bit slow so we have had to delay a bit but not for long.
As I said earlier you can always email me if you need assistance to jim@philsatcorp.com.
I am also planning to take take the Dream Cinema = Ben Sports 1 channel open for all boxes with no encryption for a few ays to show the Euro 2008 and run some adverts.
As sinned69 says it will all go off on pirate boxes. All the companies in China are trying to hack the new cards but they can't do it.
Not saying it wont ever happen but I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting. |

Maybe you just need to change the LNB setting. Most people enver bother to read user manuals.
You can call the call center and they can talk you thru the setup. There are two LNB settings 11300 and the High 10600 and lo 9750 settings.

PS make sure your satellite cable is connected to the LNB INPUT ...yeah the one in the middle at the back.... the top one. |

don't bother buying Dream subs from the Philsatcorp pirates because there won't be any change to Dream. there have been rumors for many years but nothing changes. even the dream.com.ph website has given up trying to scare people-- nothing more of a deadline or other scare tactics.
even if it does change, the next day there will be agents all over to get you a working card and much cheaper than Philsatcorp.
best to wait and watch for free. |

Has anyone considerd broadband streaming for japanese channels on TV, the system is SITV or something and cost about 3800 rmb for a one time set up, thereafter 1000 plus rmb for yearly subscription. Heard it's got great picture quality downloaded through a modem..any thoughts? |
