| Post subject: Working with a Recruiter to find a job? |
Hello,
My name is Richard and I live in California, USA. I am very interested in relocating to Shanghai. I currently work in High Tech Software Sales for HP (Hewlett Packard). Previous to HP I worked 3yrs at Oracle Corp. in Software Application Sales.
I would like to find a job in Shanghai in Software Sales. Are there any jobs like this in Shanghai? I would like to try to network with Recruiters in Shanghai. However my Chinese is limited. I am still on the first CD of my Rosetta Stone Chinese Language Course.
Any direction here is greatly appreciated.
Thanks much,
Richard Todd

Loads of jobs in software sales - try the market in the subway at the Science museum. Can earn about 7rmb a day selling software here. |

Unless you find a company to send you over (either HP if you specialize in a specific market segment/software and they need this in China; or find a company that is currently setting up their office in China, joining them at the right time - both not easy), its probably close to impossible to find a job in China from the US. If you come here, you should be able to go and talk directly to target companies and offer your services - you can probably add value to target MNCs, if you keep your salary expectations low (or mostly commission-based). |
