Post subject: Summer Activities for 10 year old girl

I really need to find a few summer activities for my 10 year old girl. She has been out of school for one week and is already driving me crazy. All of her friends in our neighborhood have gone home for the summer. She doesn't want to do an all day summer camp. Does anyone know of any good activities? Maybe a children's photography class or something???

Don't know where you are living. I know a music school near SAS Puxi is having a summer camp July 21 - Aug 1, 9am to 5pm everyday. Let me know if you need the details.

you could check www.sportforlife.com.cn
they do half day summer camps (sports and arts) in Pudong and Puxi. You can sign up per week.

one of mine is going to the VROOOMERS (not sure about the number of "O"'s in there) camp. For an active "tomboy" we've found it really good. They build radio control boats and cars and do paintball etc, they have quite a lot of girls going along.
one of the others is going to Ballet camp...go figure Smile
sure you can find VROOOMERS on the net

We usually do Chinese lessons, and if you can find a swimming pool nearby, that's all you need (and a book to read while she swims!) Of course if you have a little one, you'll have to swim too, but it beats the heat and wears the kids out for a good mid afternoon nap...

For some other fun ideas, check out these websites for kids activities in Shanghai:

I also have a 10 yr old girl who is bored silly. Do you live near the minhang district if so maybe we could get them together then they could make their own fun! Please reply
