| Post subject: Any Girl Scouts Troops in Shanghai Puxi |
My girl, 6 years old had done her Daisy's Scout and briged to Brownie in June. We are moving to Shanghai Puxi Hongqiao area in mid August. She really likes to continue her scout activity, is there any brownie scout troops in that area? |

I looked when we moved here 4 years ago and there was a troop of 4th grade girls from Yew Cheung and SAS but they disbanded by the time we arrived. I know there are troops in Pudong with Concordia girls.
You could start one up..... |

Correct. Concordia in Pudong has more than 100 GS, Brownies and Daisy throughout the school. It is a very active international GS community. |

But we will be living in Hongqiao and my girl is going to SAS Puxi Campus. I couldn't see anything about girl scouts in SAS website, but found from the girl scout US website that SAS Puxi has a troup. Anyone with girls in SAS can give me an answer? |

Yes - Girl Scouts does exist in Shanghai! For more information please send inquiries to USAgirlscoutsshanghai@live.com. We currently have over 300 Girl Scouts in troops at five international schools (Concordia, YCIS Pudong and Puxi, and SCIS Pudong and Puxi) with a sixth (WISS) starting in fall '08. Neither SAS in Pudong or Puxi have troops at the moment but we would love to get them started if we have some willing adult volunteers. Regardless of your school, please contact me for more information about becoming involved. |
