| Post subject: Suggestions for ShanghaiExpat Pudong regular event |
ShanghaiExpat is going to host another regular event in Pudong for the jinqiao and lujiazui crowd.
It will be every other week at the very beginning. However, it's appreciated if you can give some suggestions what kind of event will be interested to Pudong crowd. Day time? Night life? Weekday? Weekend? When is the best time for this regular event?
We are targeting to start at the beginning of July. If you have any ideas, please let us know. Much appreciated! |

Since a lot of the Pudong crowd seems to have families, you might consider something on a weekend that's family friendly. |

^ and since many of those families tend to disappear over the summer don't be too discouraged if turnout is rather low |

There is a pretty big working crowd in LuJiaZui, some with kids, some without. A drink after work along the riverside (Paulanar, RedDot, etc...) or Weekend happy hour in one of the many bars/pubs now open in Big Thumb Plaza (The Irishman Pub, Malones, etc..). |

Yeah, we were thinking either on Friday 6-8pm happy hour in some bars, or weekend afternoon for family gathering. Or how about Saturday or Sunday breakfast? |

The riverfront idea sounds very nice. It's so lovely down there, especially as the lights come up across the way. |

Malone's is there now but Wagas might actually be good. It's usually pretty quiet at night and there's outdoor seating, too. |

Yeah, i was considering Malone's as well, but thinking night time event is probably not good for the big family crowd in Pudong.
Riverside is a good idea though.... |

sounds good....but since we have Sunday brunch at Xintiandi every week, we should try to make it earlier than that one! |

Malones can pound it right in the asss with their 5USD non-refillable single serving cokes and single serving this / that.
I vote the venue is the ultra cool new Irish pub downstairs across from Papa Johns.
Wagas is lame, I'd assume we're trying to hold an event - not put people to sleep. |

Make that three.
I know the owner, not on a personal level, but we've met before several times. |
