Try these people.
I went there yeeeaaars ago when it was still Burma and I got my visa in Thailand.
You used to be able to get a one-week stay without any visa at all. Reckon that's changed now. |

It's in my 1969 copy of the Oxford English dictionary, so I imagine it's been in use for some time. Even in Wales we were taught to use it, but usually it was preceeded by a pronoun. |

Before you go I encourage you to read about how you can keep your tourist dollars away from the government. There's a section in the Lonely Planet. |

thanks mate but that site smacks of junta. and id never agree to mandatory hotel bookings.
after some googling and good luck, i found an outfit on beijing lu: fcm travel solutions. english speaking and they are taking care of the visa for 500rmb (sending my passport and app to their office in beijing to sort at the myanmar embassy.)
flight is $100 return from bangkok by the way. |

My trip to Myanmar two years ago is still one of favorites. The people there are incredibly friendly. If you get a chance, a trip to Inle Lake is worth it. |
