probably the china eastern pvg-bkk red eye. i took that flight two years ago and the stewardesses had to throw down stick air fresheners every few aisles due to the stench. there were people attempting to lay down in the aisles then arguing with the staff who tried in vain to get them back in their seats. unreal, the 'clientele' on board.
she brings up some good questions too... how do they produce so much phlegm? |

Mate I know what you are talking about. I NEVER fly with any chink airline if I don't have to. It's like a cattle transport, only worse. |

My main point is to wind you up. . .
That said, I was having drinks with a Cathay United stewardess a a few weeks ago and she painted a similar picture - sans 賣國賊 comments. Apparently PRC travelers are notorious for nicking everything that isn't bolted down and being obnoxious to cabin crew.
And they really do take dumps on the floor!
Now I have seen the floor dump pretty often around China, but not yet in an airplane. I guess the floor dump will gradually die out, and when we're old we'll ring talk back radio and reminisce about the days when visiting the toilet was to risk slipping in a giant floor dump.
Interestingly I've not yet seen a floor dump in Auckland, even in a Chinese restaurant. My guess is that NZ immigration runs a successful screening program on this matter. Probably the head of Immigration New Zealand had an unfortunate accident while visiting China and has made it his mission to protect the rest of us. Thank god we have one hard working civil servant in this country. |

I got thrown off a plane in Hong Kong for telling some Chinese bloke to get off his phone just as the plane was about to start taxi-ing. Well, not physically thrown off but asked to leave. Landing is worse - all Chinese passengers jumping up and getting their bags out as soon as the plane touches down. |

What happened exactly? Why would the air crew chuck you off for suggesting somebody enforce the rules? They don't like to be told how to do their job or what? |

Ok so I asked the bloke to get off his phone and he told me to get lost. He carried on talking and I looked at one of the attendants and she just smiled so I threw a magazine at his head. Then she came up after a couple of minutes and the guy was yelling and she asked me to get another flight. On the way out I said 'I hope this plane crashes'. |

They put me on a plane one hour later (which probably left before the one I was on previously), I sat down and then an attendant came up and asked me something. I thought she was asking me to get off this plane, but instead she asked me to sit in business class. Maybe they wanted some distance between me and the cattle in economy. |

That looks a lot better than the last meal I had on CE. It was meat in some red sauce that basically looked an aborted fetus, and tasted worse. The other passengers were chowing down with gusto, though. |
