My boys got accepted to both and we are having a hard time deciding which to send them to.
It will be the SAS in Puxi. We will likely live in HongQiao...they are 8 & 10. |

What do you want from the school? Fluency in Chinese? Strong afterschool program?
A lot depends on your culture. If you are of Chinese ethic origin and having your kids become fluent is important-then SAS is NOT the place for you. If you are coming from the US and wanting to minimize the culture shock for your kids, SAS.
How long you are here for and where your children where go to next are considerations. If you are looking for a high quality American private school similiar to a good day school in the US, then SAS is for you. If you are going onto another American International school - SAS. If you are here for one year, it might not matter. How well does your child react to the high pressure education ethos of Asia? There have been many recent discussions on this, use the search function. Have you visited the schools? |
