"Straw Dogs"
Impossible to watch without cringing. All the men are bullies or bullied, including the unlikable protagonist played by Dustin Hoffman, who's a bit of both. Although director Peckinpah was excoriated for depicting Susan George as a sex-kitten and a dim bulb, hers is the only character that has the backbone to call the men out for their macho posturing - and she pays for it by being raped. When Hoffman finally finds the cahones to defend his home against an armed attack, the carnage he inflicts more than satisfies the blood-lust that's been so artfully brought to a slow boil, but it's nowhere near as disturbing as the many small acts of menace that preceded it. |

Watchable copy, the movie was good. Plenty of action and ...sorry to say the ending.....Iron man suddenlyappears, seems there will be an AVENGERS sequel. |

Batman - The Dark Knight... I thought it was great and leads nicely into a third Batman movie (hopefully with Christian Bale as Batman again)... Quite dark and Heath Ledger was brilliant as the joker. |
