| Post subject: a 3-month husky is looking for new home |
First i want to make it clear that I am not a dog seller.
I'm helping my friend's dog look for new home.
My friend adopted a husky, later it's turned out that he is allergic to dog.
the dog is now living with me at Hongmei Rd. But this is not a long term plan.
coz i don't have enough time to take care of it, to play with it.
the dog has already taken the necessary medical treatment, and certificates are available. Food, toys, snacks will also be given FOR FREE.
I am NOT a dog trader, no money needed, and the left dog's food, toys, snacks will also be given for free. (If you want)
I am only looking for the RIGHT family for this little thing.

I think a lot of views because many people love dogs, but taking a dog in is not a casual under taking.
I applaud you for what you are doing, and hope soon you can find a good owner for her, considering she's still a puppy! |

I know this isn't helping you to re-house this dog but it will need alot of excersize so please only let go to someone that has the required time and space.
Don't give up on the thread, keep adding information to keep it in the top few posts, alot of people just view the latest posts and not search the forums.
Add a picture of the dog to the post, it may help  |

Hope you find a parent for him or her soon!! And make sure that the person knows how to handle a Husky.. They can be a handful but if they are trained well they are such loving and good dogs.. |

I know of a pet shop along Wu Zhong Road and Yao Hong Road.
They sell dogs. I am not asking you to sell your dog. But people go to the pet shop to buy a dog because they want one....so you might want to go and try to ask them for help. There is a groomer cum teacher there whom is a Taiwanese....Ms Wan....she is nice, and might be willing to help you to find a home for the little one. She used to help the strays on the street when they are lost from their owners. |

Oh, the pet shop is called Zheng Yi Pet Shop....main shop is now under renovation.
But like I said, they might be able to help only...please try to check with them before bringing the dog....

I have also thought about that, but I think puppy needs extra care that the pet store could not provide. And petstore never walk dog, so dog could not get enough exercise.
So far, I can live with getting up at 5 o'clock, to make the apartment less messy and play with him for a while. (my ayi is afraid of dog, so I have to do it on my own)
As I mentioned at the beginning, this isn't a long-term plan for me. So I still expect another family which is more suitable to adopt this dog. |

Beautiful dog Bella !
I really want a dog - a big dog - it's what I miss most living in Shanghai, but since I live in an apartment (even though it's a really big apartment) it's not fair to the dog. He really needs a nice garden I expect.
Still I am really tempted - does he still chew the furniture - howl insanely at night ? |

As a puppy, biting is his nature, and he shows special interest in the kick board of my apartment.
If you live in a rented apartment without a garden or a terrace, I don't reccommend you to keep this dog at home. He will bring lots of trouble to you. |

just buy lots of chew toys and teach him thats for chewing and the walls are not and you will be fine. You can also buy a playpen for him that can be used for in door. Having this he has his own special area where he can spend time when you are not home and thereby he wont chew anything thats not inside the pen.
Pups always chew.. My Max is 3.5 months old now and he chews everything he gets close to, hands, fingers, chew toys, bones, balls and yes even his own little feet 
The play pen you can buy online on taobao its really cheap. |

Januza, for little dogs that is fine, but Huskies can easily get over 6ft fences  |

Is this one of those classic examples of how usually younger Chinese think getting a pet is a new kewl thing to do, then find out that it is a lot of work and that they don't have a responsible bone in their body (also usually from all the pampering and bs their parents feed them over the years)?

lots of families like this....not just Chinese.........usually it is Mom looking after the animals in the house.
In the west there were huge campaigns to stop people giving puppies as gifts "A dog is for life, not just for Christmas". |

LOL. . my favorite is all the xiao jie's getting rabbits. Inevitably they all come to work 3 weeks later crying because they killed their bunny. The thing that cracks me up is instead of learning their lesson, they say they want to buy a dog next. Aaahhh, the irony. |

Hi Bonnie,
I think that if you really believe you can give this Husky a good home then you should try. Husky's can be trained and can make great pets. I have always had big dogs (even in Shanghai) a Doberman, a Rottweiler, and even a Basset Hound. I don't live in a villa and they were fine. All dogs can be great dogs with training and patience. If you want some more info please PM me as I have had and trained large dogs for over 25 years. I would also strongly recommend Edmond the dog trainer........he is a star and an amazing trainer.
