Yep, its a problem.
You should take them to the SCAA Adoption Day - at OMalley's twice a month.
http://www.scaashanghai.org/calendar2/calendar2.cgi?mode=event&year=10 8&month=6&day=27&id=100001

Take a look here. http://www.scaashanghai.org . There maybe some rules about that.

While you are at it, you should probably get your dig fixed so she doesn't have any more.

Good luck!

Hi Zfy0123,
I just have to say something and I am sorry if it comes off harsh. First off why isn't your dog spayed? Second where were you when she was mating with a male dog? Surely you must have known that when two dogs (female and male) get together and mate that puppies are almost always the end result!!!
Now you have three puppies who are going to suffer because of irresponsibility. Have you taken them to a vet to see if they are healthy? You say you need to get rid of them but you don't or won't make the time to get them to PAWS for a check up. The only way the SCAA is going to help you is if you follow their rules. I really hope that you have learned your lesson from this and that you go and get your dog spayed.
I also sincerely hope that you are able to find good, loving homes for them. Again I am sorry if this is harsh but after living 11 years here and rescuing over 40 dogs off of the streets it gets a little annoying when I read about such stupidity and neglect. China has enough stray animals and like it or not you are just contributing to the problem.

^ you assume alot Jolynne. Its obvious that the OP is local and the fact that the family has not just dumped the puppies is already a pleasant surprise. She seems to be trying her best to do the right thing; the lessons you are trying to impart , while also the right thing to do, are a bit late for this case and probably will only get taken wrong. I know your feelings about pets and such but lets try and guide her through what needs to happen now first?

Hi Yu,
We are trying to help her and the fact that she is not co-operating with us at all. We have asked her to take the puppies to PAWS for a check up at a discounted rate and then with approval (from the vet that they are healthy) can put up the puppies pics on the website in the hopes that a good family will come along. Her response back to me is she doesn't have time.......today, tomorrow, the next day or even next week!!! She wants me to do everything for her and look after this situation. It is not that easy to find homes for a puppy right now let alone 3, most foreigners are gone for the summer and won't be back until mid August.
I am sorry if I seem harsh but everyday I and the other ladies get many emails like this and we are willing to help by offering advice and discounted vet service but if the person doesn't want to meet me half way then there is nothing I can do.

Well, FWIW, coming from a local perspective, its probably a huge leap and you are right, it doest seem like she is cooperating. Much like telling a toddler to run over to the store to get some bread for mom...not developmentally there socially yet. Its the reality we live in. I understadn your frustration but there is alot of ignorance out there.... Getting her to take the pups to PAWS is great until you look at whether or not they can actually afford it. yeah yeah, taking responsibility but still reality bites

gues the point is, venting and pushing her out of even this crlce will more likely push the dogs in to being strays than trying to understand what she can and is willing to do. No time probably means something else (like cant afford but cannot tell Laowai or lose face) you've been in china long enough to know that...even I have.

Hi Yu,
Of course you are right.....the only other thing I can and will do for her is offer to pay half of the vet bills. I really don't want to see these puppies wind up on the street.......will send her a PM now.

Thanks!!
J
