Post subject: Nail Caps for dogs

Hi, just moved into new apartment and my dog is scratching the highl Mad y polished wooden floors. Has anyone used nail caps for large dogs...if so are they any good and where can you get them here?
Also any advice on fixing the small scratches in these stupid floors before my lanlord witholds my massive deposit.

I've experienced the same thing, when the property management group mentioned it I told them that if the floors were quality that they wouldn't scratch as real hard wood doesn't behave this way and the floor must be some type of cheap plastic crap they got in bulk (as it really is).

They agreed after I pulled a floor board and showed them the difference between that and real wood. Then I went to B&Q and a couple other dist. of this paneling crap and got estimates how much it would cost to re-floor the entire place. That number was interestingly low = problem solved.

really???so the hundreds of pounds I have just spent on rugs was a waste then....puh!!!

Every landlord / property management group is different - I don't suspect that the norm would be for them to back down. Most are greedy and self-serving at all costs.
