| Post subject: Hong Kongese & Singaporean very different from Shanghain |
ive just been to Hong Kong and Singapore but why is it that Hong Kong Chinese and Singapore Chinese looks very different from the ones i can see on Shanghai? I find Shanghainese has more define facial contour  |

"Chinese" is comprised of 56 different races and some races are more regionally concentrated than others. Some differences are geographical in nature. |

I think Shanghainese people generally look more graceful and just 'better' than the HK'ers and Singa's. In HK and Singa they often - not always - have piggy noses. Oink, Oink!! |

Piggy noses are endearing. Anyway, personality goes a long way. I'd take a charming pig over your average Shanghainese. |

I don't know about that. Sometimes, Singa's and especially HK'ers can be very arrogant. And both of these people are extremely rude to mainland Chinese. In terms of racial hierarchy, HK people put Mainland Chinese below Africans. HK chicks are just obscene. You can't ask them for the time without them looking down their nose at you in disgust. Most Shanghainese chicks are not like that. Apart from your SP's and Judy's. |

Yeah a lot of Shanghainese definitely have a different look about them that's sometimes easy to distinguish from others, especially some women, they really have that Shanghainese face, for want of a better expression. HK and Singaporeans do look different too, I agree. Not sure if it's easy to explain the differences in words, it's more just when you see a face you kind of know. I've always found HK chicks really good looking, but could just be because they're all dolled up, and from what I've heard they're pretty high maintenance. |

yeahh Shanghainese usually have a pointy nose and nice defined facial contour compared to their Hong Kongese and Singaporean counterparts. I do find Shanghainese girls more pretty. The girls in HK and Singapore put so much make up |

both singaporean and hongkongers are not from 1 dialect group. singaporean chinese could be hokkien/fujian, chiuchow, cantonese, hakka, hainan. hkers can be cantonese, shanghainese, fujian or chiu chow.
most shanghainese come from ning bo, hangzhou, suzhou and wenzhou. majority of them are wu dialect speakers and have single eyelid. most europeans find this beautiful but most chinese prefer double eye lid.
honestly speaking hk/sg chinese are more civilised and know how to behave when they are out. shanghainese speak with an inbuilt loud speaker. |

shanghainese in hk were refugees long time ago. they were mainly found in north point |

another thing that ive noticed HKers and Singaporeans doesnt smell, if you know what i mean(sorry if i offend anyone) unlike the one from Shanghai. But Shanghai girls and guys are more nice looking. |

^ I've never noticed Shanghai (girls at least) stinking. The most hygienic, three-showers-a-day, chicks I've encountered.
But - Sometimes Shanghai birds have a really 'hard' look. Sometimes they only have to frown slightly and their whole face contorts into an angry fish-wife licking her own piss off a barbed wire fence. |

u have not seen plastic surgeons here. check out how many cosmetic surgeons there are in shanghai and u will change ur statement!
to be honest i think all 3 places people look about the same as they are still southerners. they are incomparable to sichuan or dongbei girls |

A lot of Shanghainese girls, some of whom are very incredible on look, always come out to be racistic and snobbish, that why they got me pissed off.

I telling Singaporeans how much they are like Chinese. They hate it so much! And what is it with Chinese Malaysians. In Malaysia they proudly identify themselves as Chinese and in China they get really angry when you call them Chinese. Poor things. |
