Can I organise it in Shanghai?

If so, how much does it cost to do and how much must I have in the account?

yes you can,, are you wanting an Offshore in HK, there are many agents that can help and usually u need to have at least 5000.oo USD to open offshore accounts.. There are agents in Shanghai that offer this service as well but have not tried them,, I used a HK based law firm,,, it cost me just over 10,000.oo USD to set it up plus the bank accounts, I also know an American lawyer in Shenzhen that offers these types of services to Americans wanting to set up shop in China,, PM me and I will give u his info,,

I set up a BVI registered company with matching bank accounts through Lindfield in HK. Initial costs USD 1,350. PM me for more info if you are interested.

Hi Maoming Master, have you managed to sort out your account yet? For offshore banking you do not need to set up a BVI or any offshore company. You simply need to complete an application form with a relevant banking organisation and provide certain proof and of course, some deposit funds!
