Post subject: A question for ladies (guys, pls refrain from replying)

Ladies (including chinese, overseas chinese, ladies of all colors and races), would you date a chinese guy?

If no, why not and what chinese men can do to improve?

If yes, why?

I browsed through the sg expat forum the other day and came across a link on youtube talking about why asian males can get western gals.

I think it interesting to know what ladies actually think. just curious.

you see, this is puzzling: WF/CM(AM) combinaitons are far more less than the other way around. During my years in Aust. I have only seen one (KRudd's daughter is another one I heard of). There are certainly more in Canada.

is it because body hair, p*n*s size, money or sth else? You know it is more important that chinese guys should build some awareness and better themselves.

the other thing i find very interesting is: when a foreigner (caucasian probably) approaches a chinese gal and say "nihao" with strong accent, the gal most likely think he is cute. the other way around, a chinese guy who say "hello" with strong chinese accent may just get a stare. Why?

Maybe it's that since women's relationships tend to be a bit more cerebral having a shared culture is more important. I don't think it's physical. There are plenty of good looking Asian guys and now that skinny guys are considered sexy even being slight isn't a problem. I know plenty of white women who are with Asian American males but these guys share the same culture, similar values, etc.

As for the "hello". All I ever get are those annoying "hellllooooo"s that sound an awful lot like I'm being mocked and it's almost always from a guy who is showing off to the guys he is with. It has nothing to do with me. I don't care what race a guy is, if he can look a woman directly in the eye and say hello he'll do fine.

I had a few Shanghainese boyfriends. And if I am given the right opportunity, I would go for them. Just a few months ago, I have met a cute Taiwan guy on the plane. I would probably go out with him if I were still single. If a guy is charming then he simply is, no matter what color of his skin is.

Haha..this age old question. you don't need to ask the ladies, guys can answer this.
Chinese men can't out-Alphamale other.
In a nutshell:
put a Italian, a Black and a Chinaman with a typical northamerican girl
The Italian will end as the boyfriend
The Black: the one night stand
The Chinaman: the best friend who hears about how bad she feels about cheating on her bf with a blackman and now shes pregnant.

but apparently there are is a solution to the problem.

totally agree with sbergmann, how is being mocked likely to make you want to date one of those guys? those people that yell hello make you want to bash their heads in with a big stick. As for getting laowei yelled at me 50 times a day-don't even get me started...........

BTW the haircuts and picking zits in public with a long fingernail is also disgusting.

Two of my close friends here in Singapore are Caucasian women married to Chinese men. The guys are Hong Kong Chinese and spent a lot of time in the west, long enough to have become western in every way. The guys both happen to be quite good looking and have outgoing personalities, so I can understand the attraction. Having dated an ABC myself many years ago, I certainly find some Asian guys to be very attractive. Do a search on Archie Kao if you want to see a really hunky one! For me, he is one of the best looking men on the planet, period.

I think it's not difficult to find attractive Chinese guys outside Mainland China (non mainland China born and grow-up) for whatever age group......But it will be hard to find attractive White guys over 35s cause many of them either became bald or with big belly and full of wrinkles on the face! uh uh .....

i do find Chinese guys hot and nice looking. Im not really into too much hair guys and bulky men and fat guys. No offense and sorry for that.

It truly depends on individuals rather than race.

Many Chinese girls look for foreigners because they want to experience something different or "gold" which happens all around the world.

Some chinese guys are quite nice if you meet the right one.

It should refer the Mainland Chinese girls especially girls in Shanghai. But there are still many Mainland Chinese girls care nothing about the foreign guys but Chinese guys.

Hi not sure if that will help but... I am Asian brought up in Europe and if I never really got interested in Asian guys it's simply because there weren't any where I lived! I never really traveled to Asia either and didn't have a chance to meet some. I am in Shanghai now and it's the first time I "discovered" them and found some really really hot. Compared to guys I met from a bit everywhere, I think a good looking Asian guy is so much more attractive than his European, American or African counter-part... from my experience so far of course and this may well change again! Though I have to admit that I prefer Asian guys who have been raised abroad or mixed ones, they seem to be get the best of both cultures and looks:-)

Chinese guys are interested in having an experience with a white chick but that are scared that they will not be able to accommodate your very large vaginas. Also that you might dominate him in bed and make him feel even less like a man. If you're curious, get one from TW, HK or SG - at least they clean their bottoms.

after my check, i conclude that I am probably the luckiest chinese man in the world who was accepted my a gorgeous chinese woman. Feeling much better.

Ok. As a concluding remark, thank you (sincerely) all you ladies for commenting. I still don't quite get my answers. But I learnt more. So let's wrap the case... and I will be watching this forum ....while picking my nose... from time to time.
