| Post subject: Searching for cheap airticket to Amsterdam, Holland. |
Hi there,
A friend will be flying back to Amsterdam from Shanghai.
Departure Date-->15th, 16th or 17th August, 2008.
She will not return to China so she will only need a one-way ticket...but I hear that many times a return ticket is much cheaper.
She has checked with C-trip and the lowest price is RMB8500 (return ticket)
Wondered if anyone can recommend a good travel agency with lower prices.
Pls provide name and telephone number.
Thanks alot. |

I believe the cheapest airline to Europe is Air Berlin. One way from Shanghai to Berlin is 424 Euros according to their website. I assume you can travel fairly cheaply once you are in Europe. www.airberlin.com |

Probably cheaper to buy a return ticket. KLM is giving a total price of RMB 7500 for a return flight on its site, over 10,000 for a one way.
An option might be to take Emirates. They don't fly to AMS, but you can fly to Duesseldorf in Germany, which is close to the Dutch border. On their site they give a price of RMB 5814 for a return and also over 10,000 for a one way ticket.
Emirates will mean a stop in Dubai, but at least the plane is a lot more comfertable. |

We're flying back on the 16th with KLM and bought our (return) tickets for some RMB 7,500. She can check expedia as my friend just bought a ticket for around RMB 6,000. Heard good stories also about Air Berlin: cheap tickets and good service. And because not many people use them, you have plenty of space around you while this is never the case on a KLM flight. |

AirBerlin is the cheapest like jonasei said. at less than RMB4500 one way to Berlin and good services, it's unbeatable. Just went to Germany 2 weeks ago with AirBerlin and quite happy with them. |

The special plants in Amsterdam cost too much. It's cheaper in China. |

Hi All,
Many thanks for your replies.
It seems the most 'practical' ticket is around RMB8500 with KLM... and yes it is a round ticket.
once again---> mucho gracias. |

check out china southern airlines - they co-operate with klm, and when i went to amsterdam earlier this summer they quoted me a cheaper price than klm, despite the fact that the flight was operated by klm and everything was in principle like it would have been if i'd booked with klm directly. i booked it via ctrip. |
