One must point out that rich men are usually more interesting because of their extraordinary life experiences and that they must have very unusual brains. I mean RICH men. So in a way I can understand why Wendi Deng, a 30 year old Yale Master Degree graduate, married the old Murdoch. They are now married for 9 years with 2 kids ( just read an interview of her)
Anna Nicole Smith belongs to a totally different catagory.
So it's not all about culture but individuals and circumstances. |

May I ask you a question? Whether you has ever met this type Chinese girl? Do you have your personal experience? If not, you can never say that. What impression you have on Chinese girls in your brain just comes from what you heard and other ways. People should express your views accord to your eyes. Not just follow others' feet. |
Of course I have. I've worked with them, I've gone out with them, and some I would even consider calling a friend, even though sometimes they're irritating when they golddig blatantly. Why do you assume that it's not from my personal experience but from following others words, is it a glimmer of hope that I'm wrong, from my personal experience, that Chinese women gold dig?
Is accepting that many Chinese women are gold diggers that hard to face for you? It's the reality, deal with it. If it bothers you then it's not the foreigners fault for thinking this way, its your female comrades who act that way, like I said. You should probably start looking at the problem internally instead of blaming others for buying into a stereotype.
On the contrary, Chinese people call Westerners fat and assume they eat McDonald's all day long. Same situation. If many of them didn't, this stereotype wouldn't exist, would it? |

I don't really look for a rich guy, but I'd feel better to be with a guy who can spend for me (not buy me, to be clear). But ultimately, I definitely prefer a man with financial stability/security. I don't feel like being the one who brings home the bacon; plus, I think a man's pride would also be affected in some way or another if his girl is better off than he is. Of course, this is not an absolute thing. I might fall in love with someone not doing as good as I do financially. I mean, a man's financial status is not the one most important thing in a real relationship. |

Many American friends of mine are looking for a Chinese or Thai wife they said I dont like American girls they just always think about money and career |
Most girls here are Chinese. It's hardly surprising that most men have a Chinese girlfriend. |

Are you pertaining to me? How can you be so judgmental? As for him being an expat, it doesn't matter. I didn't even say a word about that.
Anyway, I was just answering the question laid out in the beginning of this thread.
I am not a gold digger. I can, and I would, mine my diamonds myself. I won't marry for mere money. Who knows, I might end up with a pizza guy. |

My experience being American has been that most women in fact dont think about money,oh sure they see the car ,or the clothes and presume wealth, but in fact its just a kid who spent his whole check for this look, and still lives at home, only once its too late do they then think of money, after having a child out of wedlock and relizing what the true realitys are, then its too late,it is why there are so many single mothers in the U.S.. In America attractive young women want punks, with no real credability, like you might see on mtv.that is why there are so many American men such as myself looking abroud for Love ,like in Asia and central and south America, where the women there tend to value more a older more settled man with some security , but dont be mistakin, here is a sector of American women that target wealthy men with only one objective, divource for cash, so in my opinion marrying for security is not a bad thing, provided its not her only goal. |
