That's not true, some are called Lily. A few are even called Amy.
It's a stereotype. Some are like that, many aren't. Keep your wits about you and you'll be fine. HK girls are the needy ones. I see the sad pathetic loser boyfriends that pick them up from work, carry their handbags, send them home on the bus and then go home themselves. But that happens here too I guess.
I'd say you'll enjoy Shanghai, it's different but has its advantages. |

It's worth pointing out many girls in Shanghai aren't from Shanghai. Lots from Anhui, Sichuan etc and they are less likely to be AS much as a gold digger as a Shanghainese, but of course, these are generalisations and should be treated as such. |

I went out with a Shanghainese girl for a while who used to insist on paying for everything.
So they can't all be bad. |

Ask yourself what HK men are like (self centred, unromantic, bad in bed) and there you have your answer. Girls will adapt and react accordingly. I'm sure if you were better in bed, the girl would be eating out of your hand, not the other way round. If you were that good, you wouldn't be posting this question. |

It's true to an extend bigger than it is not true.
SH girls are mostly emotionally immature (crying, pouting, etc.), want a lot of control and presents + play all the cards in their deck to get whatever they want. normally. I am sure there are exceptions.
ask any SH girl what is the most important thing in marrige, they will ALL, I repeat ALL, say monney.
I admit it's certainly a better answer than love though. |

I can't believe people actually post about these topics. But in case you need, I heard there are good relationship therapists in Shanghai |

i dont get it. YA, answers lets you post the question, but it is then deleted after-ward. they should solve this "reporting" problem, by blocking the questions before they are posted. |
