| Post subject: FRIENDS NEEDED IN SHANGHAI |
Hi i am a 25 year old english girl and i am currently in Shanghai until the end of August with my boyfriend as he is working out here.
I am finding it very daunting and lonely as he works quite long hours and i dont really want to adventure out alone.
I am looking to meet some friends - maybe someone who has been here for a while and is free for a few hours one day to show me around Shanghai?
I am moving to Shanghai in October permanently with my boyfriend so would like to get the feel of the city before i relocate.
Looking forward to hearing from people soon x |

Start by going to the Coffee Meetings - every Saturday and Sunday - see the announcements in the events block on the front page and at the top of the forum index page. Saturday at Coffee Bean at Zhongshan Park and Sunday at Xintiandi. The perfect place to come and meets some people in a casual, safe environment.
Also, you can go to the mixer every Wed at Malones - also in the events list.
This is start. We post dozens of interesting things all over town in our event newsletter and it might give you an idea.
There are other things you can do to get our and meet people.. but you have to get out and meet people.  |

Hi nannykate ! im bambi, my boyf and I are moving to Shanghai around the 16th august, me too same situation. im british too, he's italian. i dont mind making friends and getting to know you when we arrive.......dont be affraid to venture out, shanghai is much safer than london ! you can walk out alone at night and feel much safer than london !
