After being here in Shanghai for a while, I must confess the gay scene here is pathetic to the utmost.
What do gay people in Shanghai do?!
Anybody here up for dinners, coffees and home parties? |

Yes, because \"look back upon Chinese whole history, china has never been a country of individualism as in the western world. Chinese believe in \"social balance and harmony\" all the time ever since Confucious, which means everyone should just function well in the whole system thus, what they value most is, if you are accepted by the majority of the society and follow the mainstream of the society. \" Obviously, gay is something ways too far from it. they are unaccepted and discreminated and treated unfairly...sad but true...

They do what human beings would do wherever they are...they eat, they sleep, they work, they live, they love and they hate except that they cant have kids...guess they have to invest much more in love than straights do and fight really hard to protect themselves and of course their rare love...but who don\'t!?! Yes we did...like every Sat.
Usually we have 4 or 5 *$ tables and borrow the chairs from the rest.
Last Friday\'s babyshower party, we had a living-room of people and borrowed some m2 from kitchen.

I thought there was a whole list up somewhere of clubs and such in Shanghai devoted to gays. (and some for lesbians) |

There was a foam party I was invited to by a bunch of girls a few years back and it turns out it was full of gays. So if a girl friend asks you to go to a foam party, go. |
