Does this mean that just the shop is not available or will it also prevent podcasts being downloaded from other sources (eg BBC)?

Yes I know. But there is a big difference between plugging an ipod into your computer and automatically having all your podcasts updated and having to download them individually one by one.

Well if you "RTFM" the BBC web site you may find that you can use your IPOD for Downloading Automatically. The BBC now employ the Geek who use to work for Apply to oversee their web site and Iplayer.

Or why not put your IPOD down the toilet and buy a more user friendlt Creative Zen!
