Post subject: Must get PUPPY! (or young dog)

Hello all:
We live in a small but nice 3 floor house in QingPu (past Hong Qiao airport). we have 2 lovely and sweet mannered cats (although they arent push overs).
We have 2 kids 8yrs and 4 yrs.

a year ago we had to leave out Beagle in Nepal.
We now NEED a dog. We are going into dog-withdrawl.

Ideally we want a medium sized dog....friendly and lovable. Needs to be MOSTLY inside. We have a small yard.
Needs to be good with kids.

We are looking for a puppy or "young" dog that is still trainable.

Anyone know of a litter? or perhaps a breeder?

You can email me
at
boyvey@gmail.com

Cheers
Thanks
-b

Hi there!! I may have a dog for you......he is a half husky and half retreiver and he gets along with cats as he used to live with two. I have one family coming today to take a look at him. If it doesn't work out I would be happy to show him to you. He is vaccinated, neutered and has had his rabies shots. Please let me know if you are interested. Also I am part of an animal rescue organization called SCAA www.scaashanghai.org Please check us out we also have dogs for adoption on there as well.

Cheers!!

Hi there,
As luck would have it some friends of mine were walking their dogs this morning and came across a homeless puppy. I will get more details as I am on my way to see it. PM if you are interested in this little one.............she is probably better suited to your family and home then the other dog..

Cheers!!

I have an old dog I have adopted in Shanghai 3 years ago. I am about to leave Shanghai and I doubt if I can bring him back. He is about 9-10 years old. Well mannered, understands whatever you speak to him. He is medium size. Should be well with children. Ok with cats although not extremely close to them as I have 3 cats that like to push him over. He is indoor most of the time. Toilet trained to do his business twice a day outside the house....no peeing or shitting around in the house. Loves to be around humans.

If you are interested, PM me.

I am still trying to find a solution. I think for him, the issue is not as big as the cats....
I have 3 cats too, and I got them 3 years ago during the Masha typhoon that nearly hit Shanghai. Desserted by their mom, they will not make it. So I wanted to take in one of them...but when I arrived at the place, there were 3 of them (crawling), so I had no choice but to bring the 3 brothers back. They are all snipped and tamed boys.....they are the toughest to make a decision.

One being that they were never apart since they were borned and very much attached to each other although cats are supposed to be very much a loner. If I were to put them up for adoption, it will surely means going separate ways from then onwards.

The pic gives you an idea of how big he is.

That is a much better pic!!! He looks like a sweet boy......so he is 9 or 10 years of age? Is he neutered? Any current or previous health problems someone should be aware of? I will send out his pic if you are 100 % sure that you want to try to find him a home. Let me know......

Hi Jolynne

he is very old, probably 9, 10 or even 12....neutered for sure...some problems with skin...itch easily....crave for human food quite a bit....I do want to find a home for him but to someone who is really having time for him and really needs to be patient with his little habits. He is an old dog....His favourite pass time is to chew his feets (heard that some dogs love doing that). He is very afraid of thundering and lightning....

Put it simply, if someone really wants a dog that keeps them occupied most of the time, he is the one... for a start he might not eat as it takes time for him to trust someone....hates to be in cage, needs to sleep with owner in the same room on the floor if possible...

If I were to bring him back, I doubt he can make it for the quarantine period.
