| Post subject: How to change registration address of Rep Office |
Our rep office is located in Pudong and that address is on the business license. Now we want to move the office to the other side of Shanghai but I can't seem to find what I exactly I will need to do to change the registration.
What documents do we need for this?
Maybe I should use an agent, anyone can reccomend any? We don't want to use the company that did the original set up.

hi i just changed my company registerd address as we moved
what you need to do is
1st, be sure that your new office is a "office" not an apartment
2nd , maybe you will kill me is find a agent company and they will need all of your license as all of the address will be changed and follow around 2-4 weeks process that will be done.
find a good agent is not easy in shanghai, i use the government people to help me do that.....
maybe you could try some agent ,my cost for change the address is around 600RMB |

If I am not wrong Rep. Office should be hosted in business center. Official documents should be then provided by the management of the business center to the host. Having these documents in hands they should be able to help you to go to the right bureau you belong to. Sorry for not being more accurate, I have not done it myself and let our staff dealt with that. Nevertheless I remember that was the process... |

kamehamehon. you say your cost was only 600rmb but I was searching for info today and it seems my costs will be a lot higher. Just changing all the documents of registration is more than that (600rmb/document?)
Can you tell me what agent you used?
Also I heard I need to change Tax Bureaus which apparently is a big hassle. But this might be because I'm going from Pudong to Changning. Between other districts it might not be necesary. |

my company is a chinese owned company and the cost is only 600rmb within the same district and if you change from pudong to changning ,that is more but not too much...
many agents here are so stupid and they will charge you around 2k-3k for a very small company moving.
I dont use any agent here as i dont even trust them anymore. There is some government guys in each 街道 (jie dao ) which means region in english where your office located they could help you. They dont charge you anything for their service
