Post subject: Let's Run! Nikeplus Human Race open registration

Now nikeplus website open registration to everyone!

25 cities in the world will run on 2008.08.31.

Every register should pay 80yuan(the cheapest in 25 cities,US is $35..)

You could get a unique ID running T-shirt , a small bag and a ticket of yuquan（羽泉） concert

Training Run FREQUENCY PER WEEK(1 Saturday + 1 Sunday,from 7.26-8.17)

Duration: July 26–Aug 17, 2008
Times: 8 times, 4 weeks, every Sat and Sun.
Goal: To recruit around 300 participants per run, a total of 2400 participants, prepare runners to compete in the HR
Time: Saturday Morning and Sunday Morning
Primary target: Registrants for Human Race, running club members (yiqipao)
Mechanics:
HR registrants sign up through yiqipao online forum
Average 300 runners capacity per event
Runners will have the opportunity to try Nike+ product
Increase distance gradually from 3km to 8km
Additional elements will be added to the launch/ finale event, celebrity& master participation, themed running class and ipod Nano tryout etc.
Encourage runners to keep on participating TR by offering lucky draw opportunity every event (1shoe, 5 teaser Tee and 10 gym sack per event)

Caution!!! The training program is free! Saturday in century park(pudong), Sunday in Daning Park (zhabei)

What time and Where in Century Park will the training group meet?

Is this race only open to humans or can other creatures run as well?

hey trankshoo, what time is the 10K race on the 31-Aug. And what is this I hear that the runners are only allowed to wear the Nike given t-shirts, or they will not be allowed to run? Is this true?

I wanna run, too!

But I'm not sure I'm physically fit at the moment. Haven't run for quite a while now. Can I still join?

I think it'll be a nice way to get back into shape again, and meet some new friends as well (maybe) dontknow

Can I simply go to one of the locations on a weekend and register?

The money raised will go to Sichuan refugees. BTW they just changed the time of the race to 7:30 am instead of 4:30 pm. Not sure why but we'll be there.

"The Nike+ Human Race is aiming to bring together the power of sport and music to inspire and connect runners from
every corner of the planet. Races will take place in 25 cities across the world, including LA, New York, London, Madrid,
Paris, Istanbul, Melbourne, Shanghai, São Paulo and Vancouver among others. Participants will experience
performances by some of today’s top artists in each of the 25 cities after the event. Los Angeles will end their race with a
Kanye West concert, London will be entertained by Moby, and Parisian runners will cool down to R&B songstress Kelly
Rowland.
In an attempt to make it a truly global race, Nike has opened up the option for individuals away from the 25 selected race
cities to run the 10K on August 31 while wearing a Nike SportBand or iPod and sync their results online.
The event will sponsor three causes: the Lance Armstrong Foundation – uniting people in the fight against cancer; WWF –
the global conservation organization addressing the causes and impacts of climate change; and the UN refugee
agency's ninemillion.org campaign – bringing sport and education to refugee youth. Nike hopes to donate at least $3
million to these charities through givebacks from registration fees, a percentage of Nike+ Human Race t-shirt sales, and
a donation of $1 million from Nike. There is also an online pledge tool where individual runners can donate to the cause
of their choice and invite others to contribute on their behalf."
