So Mat, are you really trying to justify this by implying Dream runs an illegal back door operation?
A guy doesn't spend years being an openly illegal satellite pirate and then one day wake up and become legit, especially when what he is trying to represent is illegal to do in the first place, like so many people have been saying all along. No, he wakes up one day with an "A-HA!" moment where he has figured out how to build a better mousetrap; in this case, create a better scam. He figured out how to pull the wool over your eyes and others, no big deal. You are not wrong for wanting to clear your conscience; thats why his con works, because people want to believe they are doing the right thing. |
your friend Jim works for Benny Lui, aka the Ben in 'Ben Sports' and the owner of philsatcorp, who has taken advantage of Dream's financial troubles to find a way to sell a satellite service in China. happy to receive much needed cash, Dream looks the other way and issues official statements that they do not have any connection with anyone outside of the Philippines selling Dream subs, but of course philsatcorp issued cards do work for all Dream channels including the ones with the new encryption. it's a bit like the Colombian drug lords that make deals with bankrupt African nations to use their territory for the transport for drugs to Europe.
the question remains what exactly does Jim do for Benny besides drum up sales to desperate expats. |

This isnt a public enquiriy into what I do for Philsatcorp. None of your business really. I run my own business as well as providing consultancy services.
All that the people here care about is good customer service and a legitimate pay card and decoder.
You don't see anybody here complaining that I have not provided that. |

Can you tell me where what I am doing is illegal in the country where I provide services... please provide links.....
Since you cannot I will.... A Supreme Court Ruling against a cable TV company who claimed people watching foreign satellite TV was illegal and a violation of copyrights.... Turns out the Supreme Court ruled otherwise...

Try to remember Snippets I don't live in China.... |

I'm sure Benny makes good use of your background, wink, wink.
BTW, why did you delete your original reply? had one too many and said something you shouldn't have? |

No Just trying not to look like an egghead. I'm sure Benny does make good use of my background. Nothing wrong with that.
But maybe it's casino and poker related, maybe it's the dogs and horses, or the Mark 6 lottery, maybe it for many other reasons. Maybe there's a couple of million online football punters who like having lots of football to bet on. Maybe there's a totally different market.
Maybe it's just good fun providing hardware and tech support for the uplink facility, or getting trashed on forums.
Maybe you should than Ben for funding that would otherwise have meant DTH services might have stopped altogether. But all that has nothing to do with Dream TV.
Such is life |

There are several channels now missing; DW and Ben (Dream Cinema) among them. Are these permanently deleted? Seems you're now getting very few channels on Dream. |

These channels are not deleted, they are working fine on the new decoders with the new green encryption cards.
So it just means you do not have the new receiver and pay card. These channels are on the new encryption system and cannot be viewed on pirated systems. |

Well DW and Aus Net working fine dream cinema will be back asap a glitch in activation system.
Philsatcorp don't sell pirated systems. In anycase if you have a problem you can always email me as well with your card number and decoder number. Forums are nice places to bring things up but I cannot know people from their forum names.

Well I can only talk from my experience.
I tried the "Official" Dream decoder supplied from Eric in May of this year which while claimed to be the new official system came with a blue card that didnt in fact handle the latest nagravision update so I very soon lost Australian Network. Many communications with Eric to get the correct card but still waiting. (last communication in late July indicating he was still chasing Dream daily to get my updated card - yeah right!). No offer of any compensation obviously!
I decided to cut my losses and communicated with Jim to get the updated official system from philsatcorp as they were still being listed as a dealer on the Dream site (where Eric's listing had disapeared) so I could at least watch the rugby with the guys. I realise Dream had some glitches with the Aussie network transmissions in recent weekends which is now fixed, however I can say that the system supplied by Jim works as promised and I am very satisfied with their support in China. They were extremely helpful on the phone with me setting up my original system and access when I called them very late one evening |

I met Eric @ Dreamsatellite.com in March. We showed him the new cards which he looked at and said... fakes..... no such thing as Nagra3....
To get a new card the original card holder ( not being your CraigA ) has to return the blue card to Dream TV. The problem is that Eric's cards are held in fake names in the Philipinnes so the card holder cannot take the card for an exchange. Particularly as you have the card in Shanghai.
Eric knows this and this is why he now ignores all his customers in the same situation. As he said to me in Shanghai, he doent give a flying **** about the customer only how much money he can stuff in his pockets. Customer care... non existant from him.
His other problem is that many of his Homecast receivers have now been identified and the dealers have signed agreements not o sell homecast receivers outside of the Philippines. His suppier can now be identified and have all accounts cut off.
Grief will come of it unfortunatley when and if it happens. Can it happen, anytime Dream TV feels they have enough evidence by reclaiming these homecast recievers and cards in Shanghai.... which is happening. |

Not open for discussion. No fake addresses or names required.
You might as well ask how I am able to provide DSTV or Truevisions or other satellite providers cards as well. After all they are legitimate cards purchased in full.
Who really cares??? All the expats here want is a reliable service with support from a reliable supplier who doesn't ignore cusomer requests and who has after hours support. If that is all too much for you.... well then nothing I can do about that. |

please refer to your earlier post
The problem is that Eric's cards are held in fake names in the Philipinnes so the card holder cannot take the card for an exchange. Particularly as you have the card in Shangha
Then what's the difference between you and Eric then? Are you saying you managed to register under customer name located in Shanghai?? no one is asking about your DSTV my friend.. or is this just your attempt to get free advertising??
Not open for discussion? because there is nothing to be discussed anyway.. |
