if you take a walk along wulumuqi road! when come to Anfu road, you will see a nice cute store with an elegant curtain, names Fei Dan! it's a newly opened imported food store. you will get something you have been missing a lot in your home country here. visit us when you come nearby! it's No. 153 Anfu road. Smile

pretty nice store! maybe you can post some products' name you have interest in? let us know...

anything there we cannot get in Metro, Carrefour, Pines, Slice, City Supermarket, Parkson.... just to name a few? got parking space?

Licorice! English, German, Scandinavian, any... I have found few bags of it round town, but nothing consistant. Except for Ikea of all places. Wonderful Swedish Malaco (made in Denmark), but only the sweet kind (which is also good). Where is the salty licorice I ask? please!!! Very Happy

PS: The message was posted by sioux's husbond who needs licorice badly....

now our store have all kinds of Kellogg's cereals, especially some all bran for women. German Olives and Annalisa peas. barilla pasta & sauce... salami & Prosciutto crudo. Lupark butter and feta cheese, blue cheese, mozzarella... all with reasonable price, if compare with Cityshop stuff.

Fei Dan is just a small convenient store, just walk from wulumiqi road, nice street!

German olives???

I'm not going to say anything bad about german food, but olives don't seem like their forte. Now german beer is a different story, especially the little breweries are worth importing.

How about a decent avacado? I'd pay 20-25 RMB for a good avacado.
Ever heard of plantains? Cornmeal would be nice to find also, but it seems like I've already seen it here in Shanghai somewhere before.

You didn't answer about parking space. If you had said "yes", I would go there RIGHT NOW. But since you didn't, I'll have to wait for your reply ... and I may not be free anymore then ...

Do you have any selection of dark beers? How about chili powder? How about soft & chewy oatmeal raisin cookies?

Local would be fine, I dont care, just any kind of buttermilk.

the store is on An Fu road nearby wulumiqi road. you may park your car in front of store for a while. it doesn't matter. but our store is just a small convenient store. come and have a look.

sorry, i have checked for you meeow. Riccotta cheese is too short life time as imported food. it has only 15 days after producing. it's too short!!! sorry! we don't have.

I just paid 30RMB for an avacado at CarreFour! Is Avacado not produced in China?! Please tell me where I can get Avacados as I need that to make my baby her snacks, and 30RMB is ridiculously expensive... more than 2x what is in Southeast Asia and CA.

Its not mentioned here but Fei Dan have an on-line store that represents what not to do when selling on line. I tried to place an order twice, called them for support and no one got back to me.

For the guy looking for Avacodos go to www.smartdirect.cn I had them deliver to my home and the avacodos are decent.

Generally speaking, if you buy fresh fruit at the wet market is going to be cheaper than supermarkets. But you have to find a fruit vendor who is consistent with issues of quality and price. I seldom buy avocado (I am more into papaya and mango), but RMB 30 seems quite expensive. I am pretty certain you can find something cheaper. You just have to look around and compare prices.
