Post subject: weekend tea class - better and healthier cuppa

Coming Saturday (6 Sept), the tea classroom at Melong school, 1791 Luoxiu Road will hold 2 sessions of tea classes, each session is 2hrs @ RMB200.00.

morning class (10:00-12:00 am) is jasmine tea class, elaborating its origin, grading, processing, health benefits, etc.. Also teaches cupping skills and practical brewing ritual with the unique Chinese Gaiwan.

afternoon class (1:00-3:00pm) is puerh tea, introducing a tea that progress with time, its unique processing, origin and character, what makes a vintage puerh, selection and storage tips, etc. Also covers ethnic ways of brewing and unconventional tea-wares.

It's part of Shanghai Tea Institute's Tea Education Program. The class will be conducted in English, delivered by an industry expert with a Master's Degree in Tea Biochemistry.

next schedule after mid-Autumn festival at the same premise:

20 Sept. 10:00am-12:00pm, oolong tea, elaborates the “espresso” in tea, its origin, processing methods, gourmet varieties and regions, slimming effects, distinctive gongfu tea rituals and tea wares, etc. Gourmet oolongs from selective origins will be tasted during cupping, and an improved gongfu ritual will be taught. 20 Sept. 1:00-3:00pm, green tea, covers the most popular tea in Asia, its evolution, origin, processing, sub-varieties, health benefits as a rich source of natural anti-oxidants, relation between tea ceremony and sado, etc. You'll taste different green tea and learn the elegant way of preparing a refreshing cuppa. RMB220.00
