Post subject: Thai/Japanese/Viet Food!!

I just got to Shanghai a week ago and have no idea where to go for good food! I've been to random spots for Thai and Japanese food, but they're just average or really bad. Any suggestions on good places to eat for Thai, Japanese, and Viet food? Especially sushi and Pho (viet noodle soup). Please share your experiences with me! I'm lookin for places in the Huangpu/Luwan/Jingan area. Thanks!

p.s. would like to go try new places with people too.

i like toriyasu and tentekomei for izakaya.
mokkos for shochu.

there is no decent/authentic vietnamese food/pho in shanghai- sorry.

no nothing to do with the worst organization and food in Lapis Lazuli, only the name because one of the investor have a very small %, but they decide to keep the same name, you can go sure and ask for the Thai chef P' Wit, I been in Thailand for many years so I can recommend the place, specially the Thai curries ( crab yellow curry, chicken green curry & beef masaman red curry ))
try it!!!

She was at the Opening.
Knows the Chef.

But as we live in Puxi....rarely truck out to the farmlands....

Pretty good food though.

Also authentic.

As the poster specified Jing An....did not mention it
