The copies of The Dark Knight aren't terribly bad now (bought one the other day), but if you haven't seen it don't buy it! Def. a movie you have to see first in the theaters or IIMAX. |

I saw it in the theater in Hanoi last night and it was intense. Not a kids movie. I also noticed that the print was perfect, not hairs, trash or bubbles. Why can they get it right in Hanoi but screw it up so bad in Shanghai? |

Saw the poster in Super Brand Mall yesterday - October 8 - it's landing in Shanghai if you can wait that long... |

Yay! That's great news - so I'll actually be able to see it in theaters. I suppose the cinema at Xintiandi is among the better ones to go to?...They had better not be showing some scratchy print ruined by badly done subtitles. |

If it does play in Shanghai, count yourself lucky. I'm in Xiamen. They advertised TDK months ago but have since told me the "Party" is poo-pooing the movie. The censorship here (newspapers, TV, internet, books and movies) really gets on my nerves. I think it's counter-productive. It only makes me more suspicious of them. If they would confidently and courageously allow information to flow freely, they would definitely earn my respect. |

I'm still really skeptical about this "bonus". Yeah, I know, so they shot some of the film on super-stock. I'm guessing that the reasoning for this was some serious visual wallop, and not because they were intending it to be shown on IMAX screens. Ever see a non IMAX film on an IMAX screen? It sucks! Like going to the worlds best aquarium after it's been emptied out of everything living, save for one gold fish.
I could be wrong in this case, but I don't think so. |

Are people here still chat & talk loudly in the theater? if this is the case it would seriously ruin the movie.
Absolute great movie BTW. |

and did you just call me a racist?
Thats real stupid, because as you probably know that is a very strong word which has all kinds of very negative connotations attached to it, which I can assure you do not apply to me.
I have made generalisations about different races based on my observations but I would never apply them rigidly to the indiviual.
So you have misinterpretated my post and its direction, made a rude arse comment because you think you've what picked up on anothers mistake and then to top it made a huge call by calling someone a racist who you dont know at all!
Now you may feel the need to come back at this Buzzd because your pride and ego has been hurt, but I suggest to you dont and spend the time instead thinking about what a tool it seems you have become, because if u acted this way towards ppl face to face you would probably find yourself on your arse pretty quickly........ |

Howarda, I know that being in China for too long can screw with your sarcasm detector, but calm down and take a joke....
That being said.... any confirmation that TDK is actually coming to theatres in Oct? |

The best movie I've seen in a very long time. It's so good, that even those which are put off by fantasti/sci fi/heroes movies should give it a try. |

wasn't listed as playing on the screen at super brand mall though the guy said not yet decided but should be soon. Was advertised on a poster as coming in October, so watch this space. |

The Chinese news Web site Sina.com reported Wednesday that "Quantum of Solace" and the U.S.-France sci-fi thriller "Babylon A.D." are the year's last two imports, shutting out the hit Batman film "The Dark Knight."
The report did not identify its sources.
Calls to a spokesman for state-run film importer China Film Group went unanswered. |
It's not coming out in 2008, and I have a feeling it won't be out here at all.
Pity, but I'm glad I saw it when I was overseas. |

I believe the reason why it won't be shown in mainland China is because the Joker talks about society and makes you think about anarchy. It doesn't exactly go well with communist ideals... |
