Post subject: traveling-story tellers wanted

we are organizing lunch parties themed in traveling stories every Sunday in a restaurant at People Square.

English-speaking people with traveling stories to share are needed for each table with 10 Chinese people or so.There will be 3 or 4 tables in total ( other three table are Chinese -speaking.)

If you wish to share your traveling stories with other Chinese travellers, and expand your social network in Shanghai, it's the chance.

You will receive a free lunch and the traffic fee is covered (100 RMB), and the session for your story telling only lasts one hour ( 12:00-13:00)

if interested, write to me : frankyx88@yahoo.com.cn

@OP,

Oh, silly me. I get it now.

Basically an English corner with 10 attendees. The enormous reward : 10 kuai/person whilst a much larger fee is *probably* requested from the attendees.

I sense a rotating red flashing beacon with a sandwich board displaying "SUCKER".

Hmm, free lunch. *in a restaurant at People Square*

I'd like a choice of :

Quiche:
Spinach and Goat Cheese Quiche
Asparagus and Jarlsburg Quiche
Ham and Cheese Quiche

Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich:
Chicken breast, Monterey Jack cheese and greens on organic whole wheat sourdough bread.

Tuna Salad Sandwich:
Tuna with red pepper, celery and mayonnaise with baby greens on multigrain sandwich bread.

Plus a nice chilled Aussie Chardonnay.

But (there's always a but), carefully filtered invites, backed up by other trusted overseas guests (NOT 'foreigners') work fine.

Simply : We all tend to lean toward endorsing some gigs and warning off each other as mutual strangers. It's Shanghai Expat, not your new plan.

This one is 2.2/10.

Take out your knives, and don't whine.

Surprisingly, we actually network as expats from vastly different countries.

I'll be happy to tell stories of my travels back at home.

Except I'm not white, and I'm an overseas person of chinese descent.
