| Post subject: Looking for Managerial Partner. Join China Mobile Industry |
Dear all,
I'm looking for a highly-experienced managerial person to partner with me to start up an exciting new company in Shanghai. Ideally, you will be well-versed in English and Chinese. Entreprenerial activities in the past and experiences with equity financing process (venture capitalists and angel investors) would be highly preferable. You will be the CEO for the new company and I will be responsible for another role.
I'm a Malaysian born Chinese currently staying in Suzhou. After searching business opportunities for two years in China, I finally set my eyes on one of the highest growth industry in China -- Mobile Value-Added Services Industry. Mind you, this is the thing that keeps 4 major portals (sina.com, netease.com, sohu.com, tom.com) alive.
I've an idea in mind that is targeted towards this industry. The idea is mainly offering dating services over the user mobile phones, but it is not like what the big guys are doing out there right now. The idea is piggybacked and refined version of a successful idea outside China. The business model has been pretty much refined over the last few weeks and it is thought out carefully with the main question in mind: "Where do we generate our revenue?" It is not a novel and fun idea which has no business value at all.
I'm in the middle of paying someone to write the software. I might go for a patent too if necessary. Anyway I've approached some investors and they are interested in the idea but I need to write out the business plan first anyway. I'm knowledgeable on the technical aspects of the idea and recently I just forked out RMB8000 to buy a research paper detailing the industry market size, trends and competitors.
I'm still a undergraduate business student in school, thus I realized that I will not have the enough expertise to manage a company of this scale. Although I've always been entrepreneurial ever since I know how to think. During high school, at age 17, I incorporated and managed a software development company in Malaysia, the revenue for the year is approximately 450,000 RMB. Not much, but it's been a good experience.
I'm fluent in Chinese, better than my national language, Malay, and English.

I've also had a mobile dating business idea for some time now and would be interested in talking to you. I've actually co-authored a few business plans in business school... including one that was for a leading European mobile provider. Do not forget me.! though i have a few questions to ask. Is this product a star? a cash cow? a dog? or a question mark? how does it fit in the PLC? Do you offer Product superiority? Application expertise? or convenience? and finally what is the price of your service? write to me, i offer you not cash, but the experience to build your business & a preview of your strategic planning.. regards
