| Post subject: Need help getting around china |
Hi all, I'll be travelling soon - going around China for two months and thought i'd better start planning / arranging things now.
What I'd like to know is what are the security arrangements like in hostels and cheap hotels around china. Can i leave my stuff in a hostel dorm if i want to go sightseeing for the day - what exactly do you do with it?
Has anyone got any cautionary tales / things i should beware of on my travels
any help would be great.

Things you cannot live without, e.g. passport, cash stash, plane tix, bank cards, whatever... Keep them on you always, and in an inside-the-clothes pack that can't be pick-pocketed.
Then have a small amount of money on the outside which you can hand over in case you are robbed... thought it's not so likely... |
