Hi peiyun! You can purchase the pancake mix and syrup at a few places in town . . . City Supermarket is probably the easiest. They have several types of syrup and a few different mixes available. Orient Shopping Center also has a suprisingly large selection of gourmet syrups (maple but not your run-of-the-mill maple).
Can't help you with where to go out and eat them because breakfast is not my favorite meal . . . Good luck! |

Prepare the batter yourself ... 300g of flour, 2 eggs, 1 table spoon of salt, a little bit of milk ( sometimes add some chocolate spread ) , mix it until you have a nice, not too thick not too liquid base . A little bit of oil in the pan, heat it on medium flame for one minute, then give some batter into the pan. takes about two minutes, then turn it around another minute and badabing , much better pancakes than you can ever get with a finished pancake mix.... takes a bit of experimenting in the beginning but once you got a hang to it mmmmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Instead of chocolate spread , mash a piece of banana into it , also yummy |

If you want something a bit more scottish, then add 150g of castor sugar to fiddlers mix, 1 tea spoon baking powder and dont add the salt.
Also make the mix slightly thicker in that it should run slowly off a spoon.
Pour into pan quite thickly and wait till air bubbles appear, at this point turn over.
Once cooked, smother in butter(be careful in china as some of it is rank) and pour over as much maple syrup as you like. |

hahahaahahahaah, I am still ROFL over the all day with hot coffee bit. His question was where to GET them, not make them (but Fiddlers recipe is one my grandmother claims our ancestors brought from England and Wales, I like the sound of the Scot version too). But ALL DAY with COFFEE, heck, they are just figuring out how to make coffee. Starbucks is expensive for a reason, the rest of the look a likes can't make a cup a joe. |
