| Post subject: gyms/airfare |
I will be visiting Shanghai in October and was wondering whether there is a 24 Hour Fitness out there. I know that there is one in Hong Kong. If not, does anyone know of any gyms where I can visit on a drop-in basis while I'm out there?
On another note, I am flying into Hong Kong first, and am still trying to find a good fare for a plane ticket from HK to Shanghai. It's more expensive than I had anticipated ($450US). If anyone can point me to perhaps a local travel agency or discount airfare site, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!! |

Haven't ever heard of a 24 Hour Fitness in Shanghai, slau. You may wish to contact them to see if they have reciprocity with any Shanghai clubs. Alternatively, there are a few fitness centers in SH that offer daily or weekly fee-based useage rights.
It is less expensive to take the train, boat or bus from HK to Shenzhen and then fly to SH. It is also time consuming. If you are coming during the October holiday (Oct 1 - 7), then triple the amount time required to clear China immigration if using the boat or bus. I got roped into doing that once and was absolutely miserable. The airfare from Shenzhen to SH is usually about USD100. |

Thank you for the information! I was going crazy looking for airfare online ... didn't realize that getting a flight from HK to Shanghai would be so difficult! |
