Hi guys! Just found out this post, sounds really interesting. I've been to the Saturday's coffee meeting on Huai Hai Rd twice and it was fun. I belive it would be great fun to meet young friends here. When is the next gathering? I would like to join u. Also, have we decided about the Christmas party yet? I'll keep watching on this post! Hellloo folks! i just wanted to introduce myself, cuz i was supposed to be at the dinner this last weekend, but being the ditz that i am, I accidentally deleted all my messages without writing down the info cuz i thought it was from someone else. soooo, i'm gonna try again next time. But I wanted to say hi! i'm from California, just graduated from college and i'm in shanghai for a couple months and so far i have no friends, so i'm hoping to fix that, soon. Sorry for standing u guys up!

I am looking forward to this weekend again (although it is just a monday morning)

Nice dinner we had there last weekend and hope that we could have another great line-up of events for coming weekend too.

I feel kinda bad for bring so much people to Max's place (yeah that is the guy who kinda bring in a whole gang !)

Max - my man, i owe you a drink for that !

Hi everyone,

It's great to hear that the last meeting went well and most of us sticked to the original plan: Get Wasted!

I've been hearing some voices to hold a christmas party, but I'm also hearing that a lot of people will be away (oli, rabea, bettina, robert's parents r visiting, so he's basically occupied!) including myself! That is y if there's anybody who'll be here for christmas n have any party suggestions, feel free to post it here n share the joy to everyone!

Well, since you are occupied with things on x'mas and i am pretty free - i would like to take up the invite to organise something up for the people in here on x'mas eve for a meal and maybe some other events after that.

Well those who is interested to join us for dinner and also some night-activities after that. drop me a PM with your name and contact number - with emails would be muich better before thurday so i can have the numbers.

till then i will post more of what we might have on x'mas eve and x'mas day itself

thank you for organising all the great events this year! Definately added value to living in Shanghai - looking forward to 2005 (at least the first half) with even more food, beverage and gate-crashing action!

You definately missed the Beaver after Windows last week: it was a hostile take over! And they closed the place after the amp went into protect... what a blast!

Hey whats up ?

I just arrived in Shanghai on the 20th, i have been living in Henan, Deng feng studying Gong Fu at my shifus house. Its to cold there now so im heading off to thailand to train for a couple months before i head back to Henan. Im staying in Shanghai for about 8 days first , and im SOO bored and have nothing to do for Christmas eve/day or any other day that im here lol. Im totally down for meeting some people if thats cool. Im from Canada by the way Smile

Hello people

well, the general idea that i have came up with would be that:

After a long tiring day at work (for some) or not doing much (for the other people), you might be eager to join us for dinner !

i am thinking of going for a hotpot session - since the winter festive feeling is here and the "cool" weather seem ok. It might be fun to have a group of people around for a nice hotpot meal.

Well, a member of the shanghai expat has kindly invited us over to his house for some drinks session and maybe an gift exchange session before we head out to one of the pubs to join the others for a x'mas countdown and more fun and dance.

If there is better suggestions, i sure hope to hear from you guys.

As for those who have gave me your email or moblie number i will sms you the time and venue for the dinner.

well, the idea would be to have a bunch of gifts where the gift gonna be suitable for everyone and we can have a someone to pick a gift out of the whole lots and that might be far more interesting and you can add in a small note to your gift for the one who pick up your gift.
