The Verse, a Beijing based rock band with strong funky vibes and assured indie credibility, was formed in 1999 by two lead persons, Huang Bo and Guan Wei. After the recording of their debut album “Tales of Two Cities”, they were joined by young and talented drummer Da Wei and bassist Wang Yuhong. Today the band has fashioned a dynamic funk rock style, created rich layered sound and thrown explosive gigs that already rocked the Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen underground music scenes.
The Verse will play all numbers in “Tales of the Two Cities” and some new songs, and do interesting covers of other bands.
Free entrance.
Venue: Tanghui bar, 13 Xingfu Rd (near Fahuazhen Rd, Panyu Rd).
