Post subject: top areas to live

Hello,
I'm moving to Shanghai from San Jose. I would appreciate a few suggestions on area to check out. I'm looking for: a large 1 or 2 bedroom for up to $2500 per month. Prefer newer, quiet, nice gym and pool, close to grocery, subway. Thanks for your help!!

Do you want/need to be close to work? Will you be working in Puxi (West of Huangpu River) or Pudong (East of Huangpu River)?

For US$2500/month to spend on a 1 or 2 bedroom, you'll have a number of very good choices. If you're going to want to live in Puxi, I'm partial to Chang Ning and Jin' An districts. Alot of nice apartments near to one or more metro lines, lots of shopping, etc. Either post or PM me if you know where you'll be working or want to live and I can give you the names of some apartment complexes to check out. When are you coming to Shanghai?
